Forgive the noobie question as I missed the latest TEF training class, which I gather was a great success! 8=>
Siegfried Linkwitz (one of my heroes!) advocates the use of shaped envelope, multi-tone bursts (AM modulated with cosine function) to gather definitive characteristics about loudspeakers.
He uses an arbitrary waveform generator to produce the stimulus, presumably captured with a digital storage oscilliscope.
I am not asking the TEF to create the tone bursts but is there any way to use the TEF to capture the result of the stimulus for analysis?
(Don't have a storage scope)
The PPS software package appears to be capable of munging the data once captured (I hope!) but, other than the RTA software, I don't know how to make the TEF just listen and capture whatever acoustic events are happening at its inputs.
If the RTA module can do this, can capture the result of multi-tone bursts in ETC-mode or the time-domain, please enlighten me!
