Okay, so I searched and found a couple of references to running TEF on a MacBook but they were both with bad results... Has anybody had any successful results using a TEF25 USB Preamp on a MacBook?? I'm seriously considering purchasing a Mac System, but I really want to know about this.. Thanks in advance..

HI,  I am using my Macbook with my TEF25 all the time with wonderful results. It runs as fast as any PC I have seen and it has not crashed.  I am running XP on the windoze side, I don't know any one who has tried Vista.  You need to use Boot Camp rather than Parallels, ( I have not tried the most recent release), but that is a minor inconvenience in my opinion.  File transfer across the platforms is seamless.

Good luck!

Thanks Doug.. after I dug a little further I found that folks were having success with this.. it's an intriguing option, although I just bought a new Dell XPS1330 and it's very nice.. I only get one new laptop every few years, so it might have to wait. I almost bought a MacBook Pro but AutoCAD and TEF are important for me on the road, and I now know both of those run with BootCamp just fine. oh well...

I wonder how the BSS Soundweb Architect and DBX Architect software might run in a windows VM via BootCamp??? I guess that's another forum... or two..

So.. how about the MLS software? Any report on updates? We'd really like to able to use the other software we've paid for?? I know, it's not your job, but there's a good chance you have a better read on what's going on than we do... let me know. Thanks again Doug.
